from Purpose
Government Secondary School Zemithang was established in 1964 with a singular mission: to bring quality education to one of India's most remote and strategically significant border regions.
For decades it served as a Middle School, nurturing generations of students from Zemithang — the first village on the Indo-Tibet border. In 2023, it was officially upgraded to a Secondary School, and launched its first-ever Class X batch for the 2024–25 session.
